After Leased Equipment Insurance software application, this is the second major line of business application implemented by Gratex at Protecsure.

VMware Inc. is taking its channel efforts to a new level of maturity with the next-generation of VMware Partner Network.
Major changes include the combination of all partner types under one umbrella program, the introduction of partner competencies, new Partner compliance requirements, a revamped Partner University and a revamped partner portal.
Gratex staff has passed required certifications under the new VMware Professional Partner requirements. Moreover, Gratex was also certified to provide capacity planning tasks in designing virtual infrastructure for enterprise organizations using VMware Capacity Planner tools.
Gratex has internally deployed new Microsoft Operating System – Windows 7. The upgrade of Vista PCs was straightforward. Users are pleased with few new features of Windows 7 but are mainly impressed with performance and stability of this new OS.

In September 2008 Gratex deployed Microsoft Office Communication Server in our Play&Test environment. Since May, we utilise this real time enterprise communication server for all audio, video ad instant messaging communications between our offices worldwide. Our users enjoy instant messaging and presence across the whole organisation and also free calls between our overseas offices.

Gratex has entered into an important partnership with the world leader in the virtualization technologies – VMware.
Virtualization allows server infrastructure consolidation by increased utilization of existing hardware while reducing hardware requirements by a 10:1 ratio or better.
Virtual infrastructures reduce hardware and operating costs by as much as 50% and also reduce the time to provision a new server by 70%.
Gratex is active in the field of virtualization, providing design, build, management and support of advanced virtual infrastructure solutions with high availability including hosted Disaster Recovery sites.

On the 11th of March, 2008, Voice and Data Magazine in conjunction with Alloy Computer Products presented an all day conference on new directions and developments in Voice over IP. The final event of the day was a case study presented by Dave Martyn, Senior Technology Specialist from Gratex International, together with Ben Evans, General Manager of Geoffrey Nathan Consulting (GNC). The case study described the implementation of VoIP at GNC from many different aspects including technical, user experience and most importantly business benefits. The case study was well received by the audience who were mainly business executives and technical staff.
